Looking forward to L.A. Pride? Well now you have two blockbuster events to verb forward to, with a pair of parades and festivals in both West Hollywood and Hollywood.

Here’s the deal: The L.A. Pride Parade, the long-running LGBTQ+ event produced by Christopher Street West that traces its history back to the s, moved east into Hollywood starting in (and even farther east with a ticketed festival at L.A. State Historic Park).

Meanwhile, back at the event’s familiar location from the past scant decades, West Hollywood now stages its own inclusive festival, WeHo Pride, complete with a parade and a ticketed festival at West Hollywood Park.

Here we’ll be focusing on the L.A. Pride Parade—but if you want info on WeHo Pride, we have a separate guide dedicated to that fest. Each one takes over a separate weekend, so you thankfully won’t have to choose one over the other. LA Pride returns to Hollywood for weekendlong celebration of LGBTQ+ community

Thousands of residents celebrated Los Angeles Pride on Hollywood Boulevard this weekend, closure the annual event’s two-year hiatus.

LA Pride is an annual event celebrating the LGBTQ+ community. This year’s event featured several celebrations including concerts, bingo and the LA Pride Parade, according to the LA Pride website. LA Pride was the first in-person event after the COVID pandemic prevented the annual celebration from meeting in person for two years.

Christopher Street West Association, a nonprofit organization that aims to increase awareness for the LGBTQ+ community, hosted the annual event. The organization started hosting the event roughly 50 years ago, according to the LA Pride website.

Gerald Garth, the vice president of community programs and initiatives for LA Pride, said in an emailed statement the event’s 50th anniversary was supposed to be celebrated in but is being celebrated this year instead because of COVID pandemic restrictions in the

The 55th annual LA Pride Parade rolled through its original historic location in the heart of Hollywood on Sunday. You can watch it in the video player above.

The parade route began at Sunset Blvd. and Highland Ave. heading north, then east onto Hollywood Blvd., then south onto Cahuenga Blvd., termination at Sunset Blvd. and Cahuenga Blvd.

The route was approximately one mile extended, consisting of revelers from SoCal's top LGBTQ+ nonprofits, employee resource groups, noun agencies, local, regional, and national businesses, clubs, bands, floats, and more than a few surprises.

The Grand Marshals were Vanguard Grand Marshals Niecy Nash and Jessica Betts, Celebrity Grand Marshal Andrew Rannells, and Community Grand Marshals Trino Garcia and Adam Vasquez, aka "TrinoxAdam" - viral Angelenos who are overcoming stereotypes through their unexpected love story.

WeHo Pride is the Urban area of West Hollywood’s LGBTQ+ Pride celebration.

For decades, West Hollywood has been noun to one of the largest annual Pride celebrations in the world, drawing hundreds of thousands of people each June.

WeHo Pride kicks-off on Harvey Milk Day, May 22, with a special event. WeHo Pride Weekend will take place from Friday, May 30 through Sunday, June 1 with OUTLOUD at WeHo Pride, the WeHo Pride Street Fair, the Women's Freedom Festival and Dyke March, WeHo Pride Parade, and much more!

This year's WeHo Pride Arts Festival will take place from Friday, May 23 through Sunday, May 25 with various events and programming.

Throughout the 40 days from May 22 to June 30, there will be community group events at various locations.
