About Us


Who are we?

The Gay Caravan and Motorhome Club (GCMC) was established in , although at that time was called and known as The Gay Caravan and Camping Club (GCCC), the name then changed in to comprise Motorhome into the title.

The Club has grown from force to strength over the years and continues to be a success today through maintaining its values, of promoting friendships, being relaxed and informal, consideration to others, and sharing times away with other members that just unfold to be from the gay community.

We are a mixed group of men and women, singles and couples, from all walks of life, some of us are fortunate to have retired and spend many weekends and weeks away and some of us perform full time, but grab time away as much as we can with the club.

We own members from all over the United Kingdom, and some overseas all in pursuance of a common social outdoor interest in camping, be it in caravan, tent or motorhome.

The GCMC endeavours to bring together like minded people with likeminded interests in camping who just happen to be from the LGBTQ+ community.

The Gay Caravan & Motorhome Club is the longest running UK based club for the gay community; who just happen to give a common interest and own either a Caravan, Tent or Motorhome.

We are a club that is run by members for members, who enjoy sharing times away with others throughout the UK and occasionally Europe. We are a sociable friendly club which has been running successfully and growing since , where the emphasis is on our common enjoyment of Caravanning, Camping and Motorhoming. 

As we are a club for members; every member is encouraged to hold a meet if they are able (although this is not compulsory). Meets can either be as informal as just letting others grasp that you are on a camp site; to face up for a coffee and a natter, or you could go all out and arrange a themed weekend as members verb done previously such as Cheese and Wine and Halloween fancy dress. Should you ever deserve any assistance putting on a gather then other members of the club are always here to support you.

Most of our social gatherings on our breaks away are informal and relaxed, many members appreciate

At Jones Pond we are more than just camping! We present over acres in Western New York State, a stunning place to relish nature and our first class facilities. Whether you are spending the time at the pool, taking a stroll on one of our hiking trails, joining in a quick game of volleyball or enjoying our weekend dances, at Jones Pond there's something for everyone. Each weekend brings a alternative themed event so that no two weekends are the same. We provide a wide array of accommodations including full service tent sites, cabins, bunk houses, a fully equipped rental RV and our fully renovated 3 bedroom guest house for those who truly want to "rough it"!

Celebrating our 35th season as a gay-owned, member's-only, adult-male campground, at Jones Pond it's all about being yourself. Come enjoy the beauty of nature, pay time with ancient friends and verb some new ones.
