Mission:

PROUD Savannah is a LGBTQIA+ focused intersectional taskforce, created by the City of Savannah, that is devoted to ensuring that its lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer communities can work and exist in a welcoming and safe environment.

The PROUD taskforce envisions the City of Savannah as leading the way in addressing its LGBTQIA+ community’s diverse needs. The term LGBTQIA+ refers to individuals, including, but not limited to people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, and two-spirited. The taskforce’s utilize of the terms LGBTQIA+ or in the alternative, sexual and gender minorities, recognizes individual differences in self-identification, attraction and expression.
