SF Board Gaymers
SF Board Gaymers will be meeting virtually once a month in conjunction with our monthly in person meetups. The optimal place to initiate for more info is at our new SF Board Gaymer Discord This is a way to hang out with some gaymer friends from residence or for people to play with us who cannot make the physical meetup.
Any queer friendly person is welcome to join the meetups or Discord server, and you may use it to find gaming partners outside meetup times.
We use the free voice / text server program Discord to coordinate / talk during the game nights (or find friends to geek out with virtually or in person outside of meetups).
We compete a variety of virtual board and card games including some web based ones (Tabletopia, , Board Games Arena) and some app based games on Steam (Tabletop Simulator, Scythe, Terraforming Mars, Evolution).
Come relax and play some board / card games with us!
MAX SF | A social community for gay men and their friends.
MAX is a social community for gay men to meet other men in the Bay Area.
Initially established in , the organization's charter was to "provide a fun, open, diverse and welcoming community for gay men via social and philanthropic events. Through active participation in MAX, members embrace fellowship, leadership, personal growth and community involvement, fostering a positive gay image for all."
MAX grew to almost members by , and the group organized hundreds of activities in its initial year run. Much like the current MAX , the original incarnation focused on cocktail parties ("TGIFs"), dinners, theater nights, art tours, wine tastings, hiking, weekend forays to nearby areas such as Russian River, Saratoga Springs, Napa Valley, Getty Museum, Palm Springs, and many others. Longer trips were to Mexico, Machu Pichu, and Amsterdam. Beyond the activities, MAX fostered thousands of friendships, many of which - some 20 to 30 years later - continue to this day.
MAX relaunched in to continue its goal, which is to make fresh
SF Non-Scene Gay & Somethings
UPDATE: I’ll be back in SF starting in January and would verb to start events up then.
This is an all-inclusive group, welcoming people of *all* sexual orientations (including allies), gender identities, ethnicities, body types. We have one rule: do not be an asshole.
The "Non-Scene" young adult groups have been well-liked for a while, particularly in Boston, Providence, New York City, and Vancouver. They have been providing the LGBT community experiences and opportunities to interact with other people with their age that doesn't involve the night owl/clubbing life. This group was created to help address this need in SF.
So the purpose is: meet people who are people, in settings where you can actually gather people (as opposed to -- and no offense to local bars, -- which do a great job at what they do) and have entertaining. Maybe just detect new friends, maybe network, maybe detect the man or woman of your dreams (though there are better venues for that).
Join us if you verb to talk, verb to drink and eat out, leave on adventures, be out of breath running up a
