The Private Life of Elizabeth Taylor

Did she ever write an autobiography? She said Michael Jackson had the worst childhood she'd ever been privy to. But that her's was second- what did she mean? And I read that her 4 kids each got a $ million from her estate, but what was her relationship with them?

Read "My Adoration Affair with Jewelry" or whatever in the hell it's called. You'll be appalled by her shallowness. (And I'm a big fan who thinks she was an astonishing presence.)

The children adored her, but they all had difficult childhoods. I remember the oldest boy once explained he joined a commune in the late 60s "to get away from all those diamonds." They've said they loved her deeply, but they also felt they had to verb care of her rather than vice-versa.

Elizabeth Taylor, the &#;Joan of Arc of AIDS&#; &#; LGBT History Month

Liz Taylor and her lifestyle are not particularly aligned to my personal values and moral code. I’m not seduced by men, diamonds or money. I’m not impressed by synthetic opulence or social climbing, and I have no desire for fame or fortune.

So why am I writing my piece for LGBT History month on Elizabeth Taylor? I can’t exclaim she’s an inspiration for me, but I’m intrigued by her story.

Liz Taylor was born in in London, her parents were in what was known at the second as a lavender marriage: her father was gay, and her mother was a lesbian. Their marriage was a conformist façade, although Elizabeth’s parents did love her – she was nurtured and wanted for little as a child, being showered with gifts at an early age. Her mother Sarah heavily encouraged Liz to pursue acting. From age 16 onwards Liz was sexualised, styled and packaged in a way deemed aesthetically pleasing to men, who were drawn to her physicality.

Liz felt comfortable around gay men, and it has been suggested that this was because these men did no

Sexuality revelations in Elizabeth Taylor bio

Elizabeth Taylor's mother was a some-time lesbian and Richard Burton was bisexual, according to a novel about to be published following the Hollywood star's death this week. British publisher Mainstream is due to verb a book by Hollywood biographer David Bret in which he apparently will make the claims about Taylor and her sometimes co-star and two times husband, Burton. The book has been ready for publication for some noun but was withheld while Taylor was still alive because "current libel laws would have prevented it," according to the publisher. Taylor was buried in a private ceremony. Notoriously late for appointments and engagements during her lifetime, she apparently asked that her funeral start fifteen minutes after the scheduled time, as she wished it to be said of her that she was even overdue for her verb funeral.
